HEAT PUMPS AND CHILLERS

Air cooled heat pumps and chillers units do not require an external water source which makes them the most popular means of aquatic temperature control. Using liquid refrigerant, chillers remove heat from the water supply as it passes through titanium heat exchanges. When heating is also required, a heat pump model follows the same pathway but in a reverse fashion. The liquid refrigerant heats and becomes a gas which is pushed through the heat exchanger and heat is transferred to the water passing through the complementary side of the exchanger.

All units use high end titanium heat exchangers and come with a digital temperature controller. A flow switch is highly recommended to protect you air cooled chiller or heat pump. Please inquire while ordering.

HEAT PUMPS AND CHILLERS

Very popular in the public aquarium and aquaculture industry, the Multi-Temp inline water chillers feature water cooled condensers, making them ideal for installations with an existing freshwater supply. They use water to cool the condenser instead of air provided by a fan and motor. Their low heat emission, compact size, and quiet operation allow them to be used in tight spaces with minimal ventilation.

Sources of the cooling water include the facility's chilled water loop, municipal water supply, cooling tower, or well and spring water.

Each unit includes insulated titanium heat exchanger, water control valve for the condenser, digital temperature controller all mounted on a stainless steel frame.

Available in sizes from 2hp thru 25hp we have a size and configuration to meet your specific needs.

Submersible heaters are used by researchers and hobbyist alike to provide compact heating solutions. The titanium Finnex Heating tubes are corrosion-resistant and are suited for both use in fresh and salt water aquariums. Temperature controller (sold separately) is required to use heater. Works with Finnex Heating Controllers or other compatible 3 prong accepting controllers.
